About My Photo I Turned into Canvas Art

My wife took this picture of our son William when he was about 6 months old. The original was in color and a much larger field of vision. I cropped it and made it b&w, the result was stunning (proud papa, huh?)!

My Experience with Canvas On Demand

I wanted to have an enlarged print/poster made for my wife as a Mother's Day gift. I had almost ordered with a leading printing store (rhymes with ginkos), when I found canvasondemand online. The idea of a stretched canvas reproduction of this picture really excited me.

I ordered the Photorealistic version because I wanted to stay as "true" to the original photograph as possible.

The composition was an odd shape. An online chat with Marika assured me that you'd be able to maintain the dimension ratio, so I was happy to order. I actually ordered two, the discount for multiple pieces was too good to pass up!

A few hours later I received an email from Jon confirming the custom size he was going to make it. He also told me he was going to put a black border around the picture so that none of the baby's face would get lost in the wrap around. What attention to detail!!!

I received the order very quickly, and was absolutely AMAZED at the quality! I had it delivered to my office so my wife wouldn't see it, and my colleagues and i literally could not put it down for quite some time.

(Oh, yeah, my wife loved it too!)
