About My Photo I Turned into Canvas Art

Words cannot express how much this photo means to us. It is the only photo in existence of just our niece and son.

Our niece passed away in a car accident just a month after our son's first birthday luau in Hawaii, where the photo was taken. One of the things that our niece wanted to do during our visit in Hawaii was go to the beach with our son. Everyone was so busy preparing for the luau that we didn't have a chance to do that.

The photo is actually a merging of 2 photos...one of my niece and son together at the luau and the other of Ko'olina Beach. I used a photo shop software to merge the photos in a very rudimentary way. I used my mouse as I didn't have a stylus. So, I was a bit nervous about how the canvas would turn out. So nervous, in fact, that I was afraid to open the box when I received it. Needless to say, the canvas was absolutely perfect and the tears started flowing. The Light Brush Strokes technique really added to the character of the photo and the colors were so vivid and vibrant! Now our niece had her day at the beach with our son.

Initially, the 8 x 10 canvas was going to be a Father's Day gift to my husband. But, I am going to present it to my in-laws as a belated birthday, mother's day, father's day gift and order a much larger one to hang in our living room.
