I wanted to do something special for my mother for Mother's Day. This year would be her first Mother's Day since my sister passed unexpectedly a few months ago. I was able to locate a picture that was taken of my parents, their four children, and six grandchildren during a family reunion on a cruise last year. It was the last picture taken of all of us together as a family. Little did we know that it was the last time we would all be together. Knowing how much the reunion meant to my mother and how she now cherishes the last picture of her children together, I knew she would appreciate the gift. The canvas now hangs in her family room - a constant reminder of what is important in life and to cherish each and every moment with loved ones.
