About My Photo I Turned into Canvas Art
This is our summer home in Cashiers, NC. We built it in 2004 as a family effort and we all take turns staying there throughout the year. We have some fantastic memories there and had just had the wrap-around balcony built and the house stained. So one afternoon I was walking and photographing and it looked so beautiful and almost magical in the afternoon summer sunlight. I took the photo on digital Nikon at F8 and 250 ASA. I liked the shot so I decided to see if I could make it more like the day I took it and put it on Canvas with brush strokes. I was absolutely shocked at how beautiful it turned out. It was more than what I had experienced that day. It was what I had hoped for and more. It looks like a painting that captured the magic of that very day and the love I feel for the place. I love it! I'm glad I ordered 2.
