About My Photo I Turned
into Canvas Art

I scanned an 8X10 photo of a group picture of Sunday at Grandma's in 1951: her ten children, five of their spouses, and 13 grandchildren. About My Photo I Turned into Canvas Art

I scanned an 8X10 photo of a group picture of Sunday at Grandma's in 1951: her ten children, five of their spouses, and 13 grandchildren. Grandma had 7 sons in combat during WWII and all returned home. Getting together at Grandma's on a Sunday afternoon in the 40's and 50's was a regular thing. This is a very special picture to me. We have added many grandchildren, and lost a few, since that particular Sunday but only one of "The Greatest Generation" is left. The picture is a memento of a simpler time, when families were not too busy to be a family.

My Experience with Canvas On Demand

I love this canvas! The C-O-D folks did a great job. They even fixed a couple of minor flaws that I had not noticed until I compared the 11X14 canvas to the 8X10 picture. I uploaded the picture late Sunday evening and had the canvas in my hand early Friday morning. Good workmanship, fast delivery, great service. I appreciate dealing with a business that is so customer oriented.

Howard: Great job, Mike. My Dad and my brother Paul, who both died in 1933, were missing, along with my brother Bill, who took the picture. Love you, -Uncle Howard Wednesday, March 11, 2009
Jackie: I've always liked this picture. You know, the good old days when 'we' were young -- I don't know if I can remember that far back. Good work, Mike. Monday, March 16, 2009
