If your image is portrait style, we recommend placing that image in a portrait-oriented box. If placed in a landscape-oriented box, much of your image will need to be cropped out to make it fill the canvas.
If your image is landscape style, we recommend placing that image in a landscape-oriented box. If placed in a portrait-oriented box, much of your image will need to be cropped out to make it fill the canvas.
You can place any image in a square box, but some of that image will be cropped out to make it fill a square canvas. Our artists will review your image and choose the best cropping. Because some of the image will be cropped out, we recommend choosing an image where you don't want the full photo to appear on the canvas. A portrait-style image will lose some of the top and/or bottom, and a landscape-style image will lose some of the left and/or right side.
The white space you see will not be printed on the canvas. The wall display rendering is meant to show you how all your images will look together, but because your images will be manually cropped by one of our canvas experts, the computer rendering does not accurately show how the image will actually print on the canvas.
If the white border you see is nearly even on all four sides, your image should work well for the chosen spot. If you are seeing a much larger space on the top and bottom or on the left and right sides, your image may not be well-suited for that particular box. To avoid cropping out too much of your image, we recommend choosing an image that more closely matches the shape and orientation of the box.
All your images will be reviewed by one of our canvas experts before we begin work on your canvases. If we have any concerns about image quality or cropping, we will contact you to discuss your options. We want you to receive a wall display that exceeds your expectations, and we won't print anything that we feel will hurt the integrity of your image.
While the image requirements may vary based on the size of the canvas, most images at least 1MB in size are perfect. However, if you submit an image that won't print well on canvas, we'll be sure to contact you to help you get us an image that will look great!
