Will the canvas stretch or sag when I press down to color it?
No! Your canvas will be smoothed around a proprietary solid-core frame that won’t stretch or sag as you color it in. The sturdy frame makes each canvas a comfortable surface for coloring.
Do I need to have any artistic skill to make my Coloring Canvas look good?
Absolutely not! Coloring Canvases don’t require any artistic skill. The only thing you need to know is how to color. Each design is printed in black ink on a white background, so all you have to do is color it in however you’d like.
What if I have trouble staying in the lines when coloring?
That’s okay—we offer three different levels of Coloring Canvas. Beginner-level canvases are less detailed with bigger spaces to color in. Advanced-level canvases are typically full of intricate details and better for more experienced coloring artists, and people who enjoy a challenge!. Intermediate-level canvases are a mixture of both large and small details.
What kind of marker should I use?
We highly recommend using BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers in a Fine Point tip. These markers can be purchased almost anywhere office or school supplies are sold. They dry fast to prevent smudging, and the larger Fine Point tip minimizes the appearance of streaks in your masterpiece as you color. Another great thing about these markers is they are easy to blend to create unique colors. If you decide to use a different type of permanent marker, be sure to test it on an inconspicuous area first.
Are there any other tips I should know?
Don’t be afraid to leave some white space on your canvas. Not every opening needs to be filled in.
For bigger spaces on your canvas, create an ombré effect by fading from dark to light shades. It’s a simple way to create a striking look.
Keep in mind that your unique taste is what will make your Coloring Canvas perfect. If you mess up, nobody will notice!
